1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of One ("we," "our," or "us"). Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html).

2. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, loan, sell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

3.1 Free Trial

The App offers a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Full access to all features is available during the trial period at no charge. Your free trial begins when you confirm the subscription through the Apple App Store.

3.2 Auto-Renewable Subscription

After the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-current subscription price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

• Billing period: As displayed in the App at the time of purchase (e.g., monthly or annual)
• Price: As displayed in the App at the time of purchase; prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency
• Renewal: Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period
• Trial conversion: If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the end of the trial

3.3 Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings:

or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the App's features until the end of the paid period. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or as provided by Apple's refund policies.

3.4 Restore Purchases

If you previously purchased a subscription and reinstall the App, you can restore your purchase using the restore functionality within the App.

3.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated to you in advance through the App or the App Store, and will not affect your current subscription period.

4. Your Content

4.1 Ownership

All journal entries ("moments") you write in the App belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

4.2 Storage and Responsibility

Your content is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your content. We strongly recommend enabling iCloud Backup on your device. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device failure, deletion, or any other cause.

4.3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to store content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others. Although your content is private and stored only on your device, you agree to use the App responsibly.

5. Analytics

The App uses PostHog, a product analytics service, to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the App (such as which onboarding steps are viewed and whether a subscription is started). This data does not include the text content of your journal entries or any personally identifying information. We use this data solely to understand usage patterns and improve the App. By using the App, you consent to this anonymous analytics collection. 6. Notifications

The App may request permission to send local push notifications, including daily journal reminders and a trial-ending reminder. All notifications are generated locally on your device. You may disable notifications at any time through the App's Settings or your iPhone Settings.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, code, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by us and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "As is" and "As available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, the license granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees, except as required by applicable law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the United Kingdom.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
